Edward Martin Belbin II

HAMPTON - Edward Martin Belbin, II, died Saturday, August 10, 2013. A native and lifelong resident of Hampton, he graduated with honors in the first graduating class at Phoebus High School. In 1977 he went to work at the Newport News Shipyard as a welder in Dept. X18. He enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Belbin; his mother, Helen Wray; his sons, Edward M. Belbin, III and Daniel S. Belbin; his daughters, Crystal Rose and Vicky Woodall; his sisters, Edna Naill and Kathy Hobson; and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 Monday, August 12, 2013 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday at Victory Baptist Church by Rev. John T. Ellington and Pastor Samuel E. Hyde.
