NEWPORT NEWS - Our brother, Frank Joseph Weth, Jr., 70, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Hampton VA Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Newport News, he was a lifelong Peninsula resident. Frank worked as a crane operator with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He also served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps
. and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the Warwick Moose Lodge 1711 and the American Legion Denbigh Post 368. He was preceded in death by his son, Frank J. Weth, III, his parents, Frank and Mildred Weth, and his brother, James R. Weth. He is survived by his sister, Pat Calvert (Martin); his brother, Don Weth (Carolyn); sister- in-law, Diane Weth; nephews, Chris Kohlman (Roxanne), Chad Weth Nikki), and Kevin Weth (Carissa); and nieces, Kim Moody (Brian), Angie Butler (Bruce) and Kelli Weth. A funeral service with Military Honors will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA by Chaplain Daniel Kim. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr.Weth's name to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Hospice Dept., 100 Emancipation, Dr., Hampton, VA 23667, or to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
