NEWPORT NEWS - Hilda Wallace Carson, 93 passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Carson and two sons, Warren S. Carson and Julius Carson. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, LaWanda Cooke (Robert) and Charlotte Williamson (Frank); one son, Ronald (Dorothy) and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Greater Walters A.M. E. Zion Church, 656 28th Street, Newport News, Va. Interment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens.Viewing 3-7 P.M. Friday at Berceuse Funeral and Cremations Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. Hampton. Arrangements by Poole's Funeral Home, 757-357-4742.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Carson. She and my mother were close in age.
I met her and Mr. Carson in my youth. Although her sons were several years older than me, I did not see them as often. As years have passed we possibly may not immediately recognize each other either. I suppose that is how things are now.
Now living fifty miles away does not make it any easier.
