WILLIAMSBURG - Kermit S. Gray entered into eternal rest on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012. His life began of Sept. 8, 1958, the son of the late Rosenell and James N. Gray, of James City County, Va.
Kermit was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg and he was so affectionately known as "Blue" by his family and close friends. He was formerly employed by Kmart, until his health declined. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Katrice Gray, Latoya Hite and Mya Werts; his sons, Kermit Gray, Chris Fleming, Justin Fleming, Demetrius Fleming and Bryant Gray; his brothers, Bishop John Gray Sr. (LaVerne), Dr. Calvin Gray (Sandra), Melvin Gray (Toni), Curtis Gray and Robert Gray; his sisters, Evangelist Rosemary Morton (Alton), Evangelist Joyce Banks, Alice Smith and Sylvia Robinson (Carl); a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A funeral service, celebrating the life he lived, will be held noon Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in Bethel Restoration Center with Bishop John Gray Sr., and Dr. Calvin Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Church of All Nations Cemetery, Spring Grove, Va. Family and friends will assemble at 137 Winterset Pass by 11 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Gray may be viewed in the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
