Milton Edward Wallace

CLOUCESTER - Milton Edward Wallace 50, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 21, 2013, after a lengthy illness. His life began on January 29, 1962, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a longtime resident of the Peninsula and the Middle Peninsula. Milton was formerly employed by Colonial Williamsburg. In late 2010, he retired from Gloucester County Public Schools. He was an avid fisherman, had a great passion for music, and was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers. His outgoing and bold personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucy Jones Bartlett and John Edward Wallace. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Ann Wallace; his daughter, Melissa Loucia Brown, and her friend, Todd Edward Owens, all of Gloucester; his sister, Kay Gray, of Yorktown; his brothers, P.C. Bartlett, and Wayne Bartlett, both of Williamsburg; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Brown, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Art and Tina Fleming, and James and Clarice Brown, all of Gloucester; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring friends. A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon on Tuesday January 29, 2013, in Whiting's Chapel with the Rev. Leon Abbott officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Gardens, Gloucester, Virginia. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday. The family will receive friends and Mr. Wallace may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.
