NEWPORT NEWS - Robert E. 'Buster' Graham Jr., 58, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.
He was a native of Newport News and a Peninsula resident most of his life. Mr. Graham retired from Newport News Shipbuilding, as a senior project leader, after 37 years of service, and was also a U.S. Navy
Mr. Graham was a graduate of Bethel High School and a graduate of Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School, where he was top of his class. He also attended Thomas Nelson Community College and Christopher Newport University.
Mr. Graham is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Graham.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha Graham; his son, Robert E. Graham III; his father, Robert E. Graham Sr.; a sister, Jeanne 'Missy' Graham; and a brother, J.R. Graham.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Denbigh Christian Church, 816 Moyer Road, Newport News, VA 23608, officiated by Pastor Cliff Manuel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
