NEWPORT NEWS - Ronald Macualey 'G-Man' Grenade, 55, of Newport News, Va., passed away on Dec. 2, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at Carter Funeral Home Denbigh Chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frederick R. Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23439 . Visitation will be held at Carter Funeral Home Inc., on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at 7 p.m.
Ronald Macualey Grenade was born in San Fernando, Trinidad to Preston Moodi and Agatha Grenade on May 19,1957. He went to high school at Point Fulton Intermediate High School in Trinidad and later went on to graduate from John Jay High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1974. He worked as a SFC in The United States Army
for twenty-two years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons that he cared for as his own, entertaining company and putting a smile on the face of every one he came in contact with.
Ronald is survived by his former wife and friend of 23 years Paula; daughter, Rashida; son, Khalid; grandsons, Zair, Zakai and Khalid Grenade Jr., of Newport News, Va.; father, Preston Moodi; sisters, Ava, Suzette, Monette, and Allison; brothers, Felix, and Rudy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Agatha Grenade.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VA Department of Veterans Affairs. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Carter Funeral Home Denbigh Chapel and all friends and family that have been here during our time of need.
