CARROLLTON - On Thursday, Nov. 8, God whispered to Samantha "You fought the good fight. Now, come home to me for eternal peace."
Samantha Jean Williams Hatchett was born to Ann Williams and Daniel Williams on May 3, 1984, in upper Heyford, England. Samantha graduated from Menchville High School in 2002 and Riverside School of Practical Nursing in 2005.
She preceded in death by several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by one son, Cameron Hatchett, of Hampton; mother, Ann Williams, of Newport News; father, Daniel Williams and wife Beverly, of Carrollton; sister, Amanda Bates and husband Brandon, of Seattle; uncle, Jeff Marshall, of Buffalo, N.Y.; two loving nieces, Lilly Ana Bates and Mya Alani Bates; maternal grandparents, Gary and Sandy Marshall, of Malone, N.Y.; and paternal grandparents, Joe and Shirley Williams, of Pollock, La. She is also survived by stepsister, Tracey Whitaker, of Yorktown; and stepbrother, David Chappell and wife Alexis, of Newport News.
She left to cherish her memories Savannah Godwin Mulhearn and Randi McKeran who were "special friends to the end." She left behind her companion, Justin Benson and his daughter, Lina. She also left behind Rocky, your four legged buddy is waiting at the rainbow bridge.
She will always be remembered for her infectious smile, witty sense of humor and show stopping beauty, inside and out. People were amazed by her strong faith throughout her journey.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kruger of Sentara Hospice who gave us one of their devoted angels, Sharon.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Peninsula Funeral Home with a visitation following until 8:30 p.m.
