Words can not express how much Bob will be missed both personally and professionally. When I first met Bob, he kind of scared me but quickly I learned how kind he was. Bob was the "go to" guy for so many reasons but mostly because he was always willing to help in any way he could. My deepest sympathy to Lois and his family.

Although I worked with Bob for only 4 years at Jefferson Lab, I will always remember his humorous wit that made working with him and the work day enjoyable. His technical knowledge of the site made him a very valuable worker that will be sorely missed. My condolences go out to his wife and family.

Lois, I can still hear Bob tell me that he is going to break my pencil if I put in one more work request. He was so much fun to have around I am really going to miss him. Tina

Bob was always very helpful with any electrical problems that the shop may have. A call to him on his cell and he would have someone come over to take care of my problem. He will be sorely missed by me and the machine shop. My sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I worked with Bob since day one of my 27 years at the Lab. Bob was one of a kind and his presence will be missed and there will never be anyone that could fill his shoes. He always made me laugh and blush at times too but he was Bob. He fought the fight with grace and dignity and we are all the better for knowing him. My thoughts and prayers are with you Lois and family during this difficult time and the days ahead.

Being truly a "one of a kind" guy, I am greatful for all the time spent working for and speaking with Bob. His ability to freely speak his mind in full honesty, which was sometimes hard to hear as we often joked about, was something I always looked forward to whenever I needed any life lessons or questions answered as his experiences were vast. Bob made all who he spoke to enjoy their day just a little bit more by always smiling and just "being Bob."
I will miss your laugh, your smile, and charm. May everyone celebrate his legacy and keep his spirit in our hearts as we carry on loving a true friend and brother.

I will remember the many times Bob and I spent at Jefferson Lab recovering from a power outage after a major thunderstorm. Whether it was 1am or 4am, I always came across Bob's smiling face. Of course, he blamed me for the outage and I in turn blamed him and we would begin to laugh. When future storms roll through and power goes out at work, I will remember Bob's smile and laughter. My deepest condolences go out to Lois and the family. The I&C Group will miss you Bob!

Dear Lois,
Bob was a wonderful person. He would always come over to the the Applied Research Center when I needed a repair. He brought over a heater a couple of years ago and placed it under my desk to keep me warm in the winter. He was so kind to everyone. I know you will miss him so much. He was loved by everyone here at Jefferson Lab and served many, many years even during his illness. He was a fighter who never gave up.
My prayers will be with you.
Lovingly, Betty Beeler

I worked with Bob for many years here at Jefferson Lab. He will not only be missed; he will be irreplaceable. Bob was the guy who came in at all hours when a water system needed to be checked out. He never lost his sense of humor, and was the go-to guy when something needed to be done in a hurry.
My deepest condolences to Lois and the rest of his family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers for a long, long time.
