Janice BURNS Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Janice Strickland Burns, 75, was born and raised in Richmond, Va., and went to be with her Lord on Jan. 4, 2011.
She is survived by her three children, Miller Jeter and wife, Sandra, Connie Kilmon and husband, John, and Stacey Knox and husband, David. She had seven grandchildren, Stephanie Tumlin, Jennifer Beagle, Brennen Kilmon, Bonnie Knox, Kacey Knox, Michelle Kilmon and Cindy Amos; five great-grandchildren and was expecting a sixth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Burns; her father, George W. Strickland; mother, Lillie Rogers; sister, Mary S. Wagner; and grandsons, Adam Jeter and Cameron Amos.
The family will receive visitors at Smith Memorial Baptist Church on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, beginning at 11 a.m., with a service immediately following at noon. There will be a graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond, Va., at 3 p.m.
