Kevin TARRANT Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Kevin Tarrant, 83, of Williamsburg, slipped quietly into eternal rest at home with his family by his side on Monday, May 31, 2010.
Kevin was a graduate of PACE College in New York. He retired as a Senior Manager in the Chemical Division for Exxon Mobil Corporation with 38 years of service. Upon retirement in 1992, Kevin and his wife moved from New Jersey to Williamsburg, Va., to enjoy life in the Kingsmill community.
He was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg, and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. He was also an avid golfer.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alberta; four children, Marybeth Tarrant, of New York; Maureen Fitzgerald and her husband, John, of Colorado; Kevin Tarrant Jr. and his wife, Merri, of Belgium; and Colleen Schule, and her husband, Todd Harder, of Herndon, Va.; a brother, Monsignor Edward L. Tarrant; and seven grandchildren, Garrett, Elizabeth, Ryan, Keenan, Ava, Chris and Katie.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188. A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Catholic Campus Ministries Chapel (Old St. Bede) at Richmond Rd. and Harrison Ave, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Interment will be held at a later date in Colorado.
