Michael HEYN Obituary
He valiantly fought Melanoma (skin cancer) for more than two years, including receiving excellent care at the UVA Cancer Center from Dr. Grosh and his team, as well as, at Williamsburg Oncology from Dr. Paschold and his team.
He leaves behind his well loved wife, Susan Travis Heyn; his son and little buddy, Travis Walt Heyn, 4 ½ years old; his daughter and baby girl, Morgan Marie Heyn, 3 years old. He also leaves behind his parents, Mikki and Herm Heyn; his sister, Michele Gray, (Fred) and their children, Tyler, Nicole and Kaitlyn; his sister, Christine Clemson, (Mike) and their children, William and Clara; aunts, uncles, many cousins, his in-laws, and countless friends. He was looking forward to playing baseball with his cousin, Justin, in Heaven.
He was a graduate of Lafayette HS in Williamsburg, and attended VCU in Richmond, Va. He was a Landscape Foreman for numerous landscape companies in Williamsburg. He was happiest outside.
He was a man who loved unconditionally. He had an amazing way of bringing happiness to all who knew him. He always had a smile on his face and a quick laugh. He was immeasurably devoted to and loved spending time with his children, his nieces and nephews and a succession of children of his numerous best friends. He always saved the little jobs to do with Travis. He loved to make Morgan laugh.
The family will welcome family and friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2010, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at the Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg, VA 23185, with a reception to follow at the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are encouraged to the American Cancer Society's Patient Navigator program or the Sentara Home Hospice Program.

Mikki ,Herm , Susan and the rest of the Heyn clan:
I was sadden to hear the news of Michael's passing. He was a great person who was raised to be a wonderful husband ,son, brother , father and friend to whom ever he came in touch with.I know he will be greatly missed. Remember he's not in any more pain/suffering now. My heart aches for you Susan, especially ...but always remember Michael chose you a few years ago to be part of a very special family who will always be there for you and the children .I know it is hard to deal with the loss but when you see Morgan and Travis smile you can always see Michael love in them.

My heart aches today knowing Jeff has passed away so sudden. I had the chance of working with him as his Irrigation Coordinator late 2004/early 2005. He was so full of life and so funny.

Mikki and Herm, My heart is broken thinking of you and the terrible pain you are feeling now. Mike was a good friend to Brad and the "Powhatan Posse". They were all really good kids and they will miss their friend terribly. May God keep you in his arms and comfort you and Mike's family.
