Patricia SIMMONS Obituary
She was educated in New York City Public Schools and was a 1979 graduate of William Howard Taff High School. Always industrious, Patricia worked in several fields before joining the U.S. Army in 1980. After separating from the service, she continued to work for the government in different capacities. Classes in hotel and motel management and a strong work ethic enabled her to become a maintenance supervisor
at the General Smalls Inn, in Fort Eustis, Va.
Patricia leaves behind a sister, Cheryl A. Smith; and two brothers, Tyrone L. and Eric J. Wigfall, all of New York; and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Carter Funeral Home-Denbigh Chapel. Interment will follow at the A. G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.

Patricia was a "regular" at our insurance agency - on a first name basis with everyone, she always had a kind smile for us and we had a nice sort of friendly banter that went on every month for 17 years. We will miss those interactions and exchanges - we'll miss her. And to her family - May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time. Our prayers are with you.
