Yasuko DUNN Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Mrs. Yasuko Toyama Dunn passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
She was born in Chiba-ken Japan on May 1,1927. She met and married Phillip George Dunn, an Army officer and relocated to the United States and became a U.S. citizen.
Naychan as she was called by her family ,was a loving and outgoing person. She loved to make sushi for her family and friends, fish off the York River peer, and tend her beautiful, bountiful flower garden.
Naychan is survived by her husband of 55 years, Phillip Dunn; two brothers, Matuoh Toyama and Takashi Toyama, both of Japan and their wives, Shizuea and Toyoko; one sister, Kiyoko T. Jackson and husband, James E. Jackson Jr. of North Carolina and many other relatives.
Friends may visit Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at Carter Funeral Home-Denbigh from 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
