Mamie ROBERTS Obituary
She was born in Newport News, Va., and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah; and son, Vinson.
Left to mourn her passing are several grandchildren; brother, Bernard Ricks; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Roberts family. To the Roberts Family,
I met Mrs.Roberts at Coliseum Park as I went to visit my Mom. She became her friend and was always concerned about her well-being.
Mrs. Roberts was a source of laughter, joy and persistence. We will always remember the time she joined us for Christmas dinner in December 2009 at my sister's home. She was so much fun!
We will miss her and are happy she became a part of our lives. May she rest in peace with the Lord and may you be surrounded by His comfort and love.
