Anna PARROUS Obituary
She was a native of Karpenisi, Greece and was a resident of the Peninsula for more than 60 years. She was the former owner of the Westwood Restaurant in Newport News.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dino J. Parrous; and a son-in-law, Michael Evachyk.
Survivors include her children, Arthur Parrous and James Parrous both of Hampton, Bessie Evanchyk of Fredericksburg, and Vivian Swanson and husband, David of Richmond; three grandchildren, Christina, Scott, and Michelle Swanson of Richmond; and other loving family and friends.
A Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at Peninsula Funeral Home with a visitation following until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. George Chioros officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 60 Traverse Road, Newport News, VA 23601.

Bessie, Vivian, Jimmy and Arthur:
We are so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. We always enjoyed her company along with your aunt Olympia. They were great to be with and many times quite funny. We will certainly miss them both. They were always together and now it is comforting to know that they will continue to be together. We are still in Greece. We will light a candle for your Mama in her church.

To all of Anna's family. we were so sorry to learn of your loss. Anna was such a kind and gentle woman. My husband, Alex and I would often go to the Westwood for lunch during the time my husband's office was close by. She was always so warm and welcoming. I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that Anna was much loved. May her memory be eternal.
