Jo MORRISON Obituary
She was a Newport News resident for the last seven years and was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Herbert Charles.
Survivors include her two sons, Steven Morrison and Jeremy Morrison (Elizabeth); mother, Alma Charles; sister, Peggy Halifax (Don); three brothers, Herbert N. Charles (Patsy), Billy Charles (Marilyn) and Bobby Charles (Marjorie); and two grandchildren, Nathaniel Morrison and Katherine Pease.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Hampton Roads Seventh-Day Adventist Church with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service; Pastor Rechichar will be officiating.

to joanne family ms joanne was a good friend of mine and my boyfriend and a wonderful neighbor have known ms joann for about 4 years im going to miss looking across the yard and waving thats the first thing i diid in the morning when isaw her and the last thing i did at night for i went in she will be greatly missed my boyfriend used to sit outside with her and talk for hours and she would listen god blees her soul we will miss ms joanne so hard to believe she is gone

I did not know Jo Anne for very long. She was my neighbor though and a welcomed part of my day when we would stop and chat. I will miss those times.
