Giorgio and family -- so wish I had had or taken the opportunity to met Judi. What a life force she must have been. I hope that the memorial service yesterday captured that expansive spirit. -- Lots of love, Dave (of Tucson)

George, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this news. You and Judi opened your hearts and home to many of us and gave us a beautiful hope and vision for our own futures. Bless you both.

I am deeply saddened by Judi's death but ever grateful for the legacy she left in creating OVCALadies, a group where women like me can connect with each other and share thoughts and feelings that may be a bit too personal for our loved ones to bear. Thank you, Judi, and I look forward to eventually meeting you in person--hopefully, in the distant future.

I was so saddened to hear of Judi's passing. Her wit, artistry, and openness was inspiring and unforgettable. The way she lived completely as herself and loved those around around her with no reservations are lessons that have remained with me since meeting her. She was the kind of woman I aspire to be.
My heart goes out to George and the rest of Judi's family. She will be deeply missed.

My thoughts are with you today, George, as Judi's Memorial happens. I am with you in spirit and regret I will not be present. Judi was vibrant and interested in people and what their lives were all about. I can hear her chuckle as I say this hoping I will share some tasty tid-bit with her. A loving, generous soul, Judi will be truly missed.

Judi's spirit lives on in all of us who she touched and taught! When nobody else noticed or cared, she did! The only comfort is knowing that now she can be both in MA and VA at the same time! My thoughts and prayers are with all who must find a way to go on.

I never met Judi in person but she gave me more compassion and strength in the past 2 yrs. thru the private Facebook page for ovarian cancer fighters that she administrated than most people get in a lifetime. I remember her offering to come be with me during a chemo infusion when she thought I was receiving treatment in the Norfolk area. She didn't realize I have an amazing husband and wanted me to know she was close by if needed. I know if ask her to come to Chapel Hill she would have. The FB page she started will be continued as her legacy. We hope to do her proud.

The best days may be ahead of us. However, with Judi's passing, some wonderful times are behind us, memories worthy of our tears yet more worthy of a reflective smile.
Miss you beyond words already.

Judi was one of my first mentors. She believed in my writing and she understood my heart. She did her own things her own way, and inspired others to do the same. She came through extreme difficulties in her own life with candor and spirit. There will never be another one like her. I wish her many happy April afternoons out there in the great cosmos. I love you, Judi.

I am so very glad I had the opportunity to know Judi. I met her while working as a nurse in a doctor's office - we chatted, laughed, and hugged - she was warm, funny, compassionate and sharp! My condolences to her family...I know she will be missed so much. May her memory be a blessing.

We have only known Judi since April, but we are heartbroken to learn of her passing. We all admired her right away, which is a huge reason we rented her house. We all had brunch with her, and suddenly Judi was just family. Certainly, she will be missed by many with her wonderful spunky personality! Our thoughts and prayers go out to her Husband, Son, Family, and many Friends at this difficult time.
