Willard BROYLES Obituary
He was a native of Johnson City, Tenn., and had been a resident of Newport News for over 50 years. He retired from Peninsula Construction Company, as a foreman, with over 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie L. Broyles; father, Claude W. Broyles; mother, Gladys Williamson; brother, Franklin T. Broyles; and granddaughter, Stacie L. Thompson.
Survivors include his daughter, Cora Thompson Hill of Newport News; son, Robert J. Broyles of Hampton; sister, Mary Shepard of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Michael L. Thompson, U.S.A.F. of Little Rock, Ark.; and David R. Thompson of Newport News; and one great-grandson, Elijah L. Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Peninsula Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at Peninsula Memorial Park with the Rev. Jeff Cannon officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
