Jonathan M. Powers

NEWPORT NEWS - Jonathan Martin Powers, 19, born July 8th, 1996 passed away June 2nd, 2016. He was just beginning his life as a man and was taken away far too soon. He could light up a room with his infectious smile, his strong outgoing personality, and his kindness to others. He loved his family and friends very much and will be sorely missed by many. He has gone to be with his grandfather John Low in Heaven. He is survived by his father and his family and by his mother and stepfather Tara and Andrew Peters; also brothers Tyler Powers, Jacob and Logan Peters, new sister Kara Bessey, grandparents Ben and Sandy Powers, Brian and Janet Peters, aunts and uncles, David and Christie Peters, Rachel and Mikey Charlton, Rhoda and Ian Galloway, Matthew and Allie Peters, cousins, Mersades, Nikki, Kingsley, Cash, Maxwell, Kinley, and a host of extended family and lifelong friends. A celebration of Jonathan's life with his mothers family and friends will be held on June 11th at 4pm at Liberty Baptist Church located on Big Bethel Road in Hampton, VA.
