SEAFORD - AGC(AW/SW) Aaron P. Brewer, USN, 35, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fayetteville, AR, he had been a Tidewater resident for the past 15 years. Aaron had served honorably on active duty for 15 years with the U.S. Navy and was currently assigned to Fleet Weather Center, Norfolk, where he worked in meteorology and oceanography. He was a member of Coastal Community Church in York County, where he participated in mission trips to South Carolina to establish new churches. A lover of nature and the outdoors, Aaron was an avid golfer and loved the beach, fishing, and football, especially the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. He was devoted to his family and was a loving husband and father. Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Lynn Brewer. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Brewer, and daughter, Taylor Brewer, both of Seaford; his father, Paul Brewer of Hot Springs, AR; a sister, Shannon Robinson of Finksburg, MD and brother -in-law, Jeffrey Robinson of Odenton, MD; maternal grandmother, LaVerna Faucett of Tulsa, OK; and a niece and nephew, Taylor and Tyler Robinson. A memorial service to celebrate Aaron's life was held at the Norfolk Naval Station Chapel on Thursday, August 1, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Aaron's memory to the , 11835 Canon Blvd, Suite A-102, Newport News, Va. 23606 or Taylor Matzgannis Brewer's College Fund, c/o Wells Fargo, Yorktown, VA 23692. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
