Ahmad EASMEIL Obituary

HAMPTON - Ahmad Ali Easmeil departed this life on Oct. 4, 2010.
Born on Sept. 24, 1941, in Deir Ballut, Palestine, he came to the United States at the age of 19 and soon after proudly became a U.S. citizen. He was a longtime resident of Hampton.
He is survived by his wife, Najeah Easmeil; and his four children, Leila Easmeil Rice and husband, John Rice of Suffolk, Hussein Easmeil of Virginia Beach, Mahmood "Mike" Easmeil and wife, Marysue Easmeil of Norfolk, and Susan Easmeil of Hampton. He was a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren who were the light of his life, Zachary, Noah, Joseph, Sammi and Henry. He is also survived by close cousins, Jennie Alexander and husband, Buck Smith, and Nicholas and Dena Alexander of Newport News. Ahmad also has a number of other family members residing in California, Texas, and throughout the Middle East.
Ahmad loved animals and appreciated nature. He was very fond of watching westerns and 70's TV shows, especially "Sanford and Son."
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to your local animal shelter. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
