Albert Chapman Obituary

WEST POINT - Homegoing services for Mr. Albert Chapman, who departed this life on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville, Va., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at The Trinity Baptist Church, West Point, Va., with the pastor, the Rev. John Gresham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The viewing will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at White-Tidewater Funeral Home, Jamaica, Va., and also from 6 to 8 p.m., at Trinity Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vernell G. Chapman; nine daughters, Judy Gary (Arvid), Dorine Chamberlain (McArthur ), Linda C. Jones (Robert ), Queen E. Chapman, Rosia Williams-Wormley(Dennis ), Willa Robinson (Lionel ), Renee Rogers (Albert ), of West Point , Clementine Chapman (Kenneth) of King and Queen, and Nickole Volk (Randy) of King William; two sisters, Helen Glover and Diane Powell; two aunts, Lillian Baylor and Elsie Holmes of King William; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a devoted son-n-law, Lee Williams Sr. of Newport News, Va.; one devoted friend, Robert Warren of King William; and three devoted cousins, Douglas and Rosa Wright of King William, and Inell Mitchell of Lawrenceville, Va.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
