Albert Howard Obituary
He was a native of Gloucester and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 64 years, Bertha Taylor Howard; daughters, Barbara Howard of Gloucester, Elaine Howard Dillard (Joseph) of Newport News, and Deloris Yvonne Howard Patton (Frank) of Lynchburg; sons, Alvin Howard (Irma) of Gloucester, Arthur Howard of Yonkers, N.Y., Randolph Howard (Susan) of Seminole, Fla., and Harold Howard (Yvette) of Newport News; brothers, Elijah Howard (Mary) and Wallace Howard both of Gloucester; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, located at 2978 Hickory Fork Road, Gloucester. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Howard Funeral Home, 8710 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester. Mr. Howard will lie in state from noon until service time on Saturday. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
