Allen RUSKEY Obituary
Mr. Ruskey was born in Hampton, Va., and was a former resident of Grafton for 30 years, before moving to Williamsburg five years ago. He was a1958 graduate of Hampton High School and retired as a quality analyst with Newport News Shipyard in 1984, after 22 years of service. He attended Williamsburg Community Chapel, and was an avid sailor, who enjoyed sailing with his friend, Jim Brewer.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cecelia Ruskey. He is also survived by his nephews, Stephen Phillips and his wife, Ann of Genton, Ga., Stewart Phillips and his wife, Rachel of Lynchburg, Va., Shawn Phillips and his wife, Alicia of Madison Heights, Va., and Shannon Phillips and his wife, Teresa of Concord, N.C.; and 11 great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Peninsula Memorial Park, with the Rev. Milton Hines, officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

Cecilia, as you may recall Allen ( always AE to me ) and I grew up together on Blair Ave. We missed out on a lot of years after but we will catch up later. I wish you and your family a lot of comfort in knowing he's on a wonderful journey.

Allen and I attended the same church as children. He was in my government class at Hampton High School. He was always kind and pleasant. I extend my sincere sympathy.
