Allen TAYLOR Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Allen E. 'Pappy' Taylor, 97, one of the pioneers in the American aviation industry, passed away on Dec. 19, at Williamsburg Landing in Williamsburg, Va.
Mr. Taylor was born in Hazel Dell, Ill., May 15, 1912. He was a 45-year resident of Vienna, Va.,, and was actively involved in the northern Virginia community with a special interest in youth and high school sports, especially baseball. He was a member of Oakton United Methodist Church and was a valued member of the Vienna (Host) Lions Club for 41 years.
He is survived by his son, Keith Allen Taylor, and his wife, Carol, of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Bradley and Jennifer Taylor of Bowling Green, Ky.; David and Allison Taylor of Haymarket, Va.; and Bryan Taylor of Arlington, Va.; as well as great-grandchildren, Peyton, Braxton, Parker, and Grace.

I took care of pappy for almost 3 years at the Landing, when i heard of his death it broke my heart. It felt like I lost a family member. I can still hear him now sayin things he knew would make me laugh or shake my head....He will be missed
