I enjoyed being a chalice bearer and acolyte with Jo at St. John's Cathedral in years gone by. She was such a sweet southern lady. She, and the family, is in my prayers.

Allison,
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of your mother's passing, and I know first hand how difficult the days ahead will be. There will be many times when you'll want to pick up the phone to call her, for comfort, advice, or just to share daily events. I hope that you will call me, I'm here for you and care very much about you.

I will miss Mrs. Hedgepeth very much. I was her pharmacist and we were always sharing things about our families. She especially liked to hear about my trips with my daughters, Lauren and Lindsay. She told me about her children and grandchildren and she was a blessing to them and to me. When we went to Chicago last year, she told me about her son and daughter-in-law, who live there. I will miss her deeply. God bless her family at this time and she loved you all dearly.

I miss Jo so much-she was a wonderful gift from God in my life and if you look in the dictionary for the word "Southern Lady" you will probally find a picture of Jo Hedgepeth beside it. You were a sweetheart-my dear friend and I love you and you will be in my heart forever.

What a fantastic and truly gifted lady!! I feel so blessed that she was a part of my life as well as my mom's. Her love and friendship meant the world to us. I will miss her - her voice, her opinions, her ideas, her willingness to serve people and the church she loved so dearly. We are better people because she shared a pew and her journey with us.

I had the unique pleasure of serving with Jo on a Board and a discernment group and that's all she needed to be viewed as her freind. I regard that as my gift to have known Jo in such a way.
I will miss her greetings, kind demeanor and was better off to have known her.

Jo was a very special person to me, part big sister, part mom figure, always cheerful. I will always cherish the memories of helping her put up her Christmas decorations one year. We were like two kids stringing lights and laughing. But most of all, I will remember Jo for her compassion and her forgiving nature, always ready to see the good in others. She was truly one of a kind, the epitome of a southern lady. Her passing leaves us all a bit diminished.
