Andre' ROWLETT Obituary
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., of April 10, 1961. Andrea attended Warwick High School and was employed at Riverside Hospital.
He is survived by his loving mother, Maggie Rowlett Grimes of Newport News; and his father, Herman Rowlett of Baltimore, Md.; his two sons, the Rev. Domeka Kelly(Jessica) of Newport News and Terrance Powell of North Carolina; two daughters, April Kelly and Angel Rowlett of Newport News; grandchildren, Nika, Malik, Brian and Leyah Kelly; two brothers, Reggie Rowlett of Temple, Texas and Herman Rowlett of Newport News; his devoted fiancE and caretaker, Cheryl Clarke, along with future father-in-law, James Clarke of Hampton, Va.; a devoted uncle and caretaker, Tony Rowlett of Hampton; a special uncle and aunt, Ashley and Rosa Blunt of Hampton, Va.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at the Six House 2003 Kecoughtan Road, Hampton with the Rev. Richard Brown, officiating. Entombment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Six House and one hour prior to the service
Wednesday at the Church.

I would like to express my condolences to Andre's family. I knew Andre at Carver Intermediate and Menchville, he was such a cool and charismatic young man. He definitely had a smile that would make your day.
I had not seen or heard from Andre in many years but as a classmate, it hurts to lose one of the gang.
Rest assured your loved one was a special person and he is most surely with the angels of mercy and goodness.
God will continue to help you through this most difficult period.

Aunt Maggie, Reggie and Pip,
We all grew up as family calling each other cousins. I often wondered where you all were since I left VA. I had no idea Andre was sick and was saddened to hear of his passing. I understand though that he was saved and that makes all the difference in the world. Rest assured that he is better off than all of us now because this earth is truly the only hell that the saved will ever know. God's blessings to you all as you lay my cousin to rest.
