I am so sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. I only knew Andrew for a little over a year ~ thru BINGO at Pop's. He always had a smile on his face, esp. when he won Bingo! He was a family man, good friend and always talked about his grandson's baseball games. We will miss him dearly.

To Top & Crystal,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I had talked with him not too long ago in Farm Fresh and as always, he had a joke to tell me. Everytime I ran into your Dad,
we talked for a while. I enjoyed the conversations that we had and he always talked about the grandkids. I remember
when your Dad coached Top and Corey in baseball and how when they first started playing baseball and Corey was pitching, he came by the house to check on Corey who had come down with the measles and they were getting ready for the championship game. He made a special trip to the house to see if Corey could make it to the game. I told him that I didn't think Corey could make it and he said, "I think he can." So needless to say, Andrew convinced us to let Corey come out and they won the championship game. In fact, the last time I saw him, we talked about that incident.
I leave with you and Crystal to remember how your Dad loved you and how important family was to him. Know that he now has a place in Heaven and I know that he is in Heaven and still telling his jokes.

Cracker Barrel, Bingo, State Fair, Kings Dominion, Saluda Races, Nags Head, West Point light, West Point Crab Festival, NASCAR collection room, Coffee in old fasion perculator pot, cheese bisquets, washing his truck, mowing that grass. I'm going to miss him calling me up saying "And.., what are you doin on this lovely day?" Andrew shared himself with people and he never met a stranger. Knowing him has made me want to be a better person. Family before all...He was a good man.

The Pitts Family,
Our love and prayers are with all the family. He will be missed by so many people. He always would stop by on his way to Gloucester to visit never in a hurry always had new jokes to make me laugh. He always liked telling me about his new toys 4 wheelers, campers.cars or trucks what ever was new even his new shinny wheels on his corvette. Another memory was we were leaving a bar one night and he pulled a siren on us ....It wasn't funny until after the effect and we have laughed about it for years..He was the nut out of the shell always cracking jokes and having everyone laughing we will miss him......Love and God Bless......

In the 16 years I have known Andrew, there was never a time where I was around him and he wasnt making someone laugh. Andrew was a wonderful father and grandfather and he will be truly missed. Mourning a loss as great as this is not easy, however, I know he is above looking after you two and all of his grandchildren. You have my deepest sympathy on your loss.

Top and Crystal - Although we haven't been in touch for years I've always had wonderful memories of our time spent together. Your Dad ALWAYS had a few new jokes up his sleeve. He was kind, would help you with anything he could and always knew just what to say to put a smile on your face. I hope that ya'll will find comfort in knowing he was loved by many and made the world a better place for everyone he met. Kings Dominion, The Alabama concert, being pulled behind his truck on the hood of a car as a sled, eating peanuts from the shell, The State Fair and our original music videos will forever be in my memory.

Andrew was family to us even though not by blood. He was a loving family man who would do anything possible to help you if a need would arise. Andrew was a man that could brighten up any day no matter how bad it was. Andrew loved his family and friends and will be missed dearly. The way he touched our family will leave lifelong happy memories.

Andrew was a special friend. Never did I hear him say a cross word or show negativity. He was always one to brighten a room or any situation! Although it has been a while since we had seen each other we still spoke over the phone. We had even had plans to get together for lunch. How I will regret that day will never come. I will surely miss him as well as many others. God is very lucky to have him in his presence.

I just made a new friend in Andrew. He sold me his beloved Corvette, which was hard for him, because he had put so much time in upgrading this vehicle. I learned Andrew's stories in the course of several meetings and phone calls, and he made a big impact on my life. Andrew was a brave, funny, and genuinely nice person whom I admired in the short time I knew him. Andrew, I promised you that I would take very good care of your car. It is very special, and I will keep my promise. To Andrew's family, I can just imagine your pain to lose such a great parent, grandparent, and uncle. My deepest condolences! Daniel

I'm so sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. Andrew & I were both raised in NK & attended NKHS - and I always thought he was a really cool guy. Though I didn't see him often after graduation, we talked about a month ago. It was so good to see him happy as he related his winning battle with cancer. He talked about his family and how much he was enjoying the life he was blessed with. It's so sad to know he is gone and he definitely wll be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
