To Jackie, Jennifer, Andrea and Family:

We were saddened to learn of the loss of your mother. I remember talking with her on the phone about Clayton, Alabama. She was the only other person that I knew from Clayton besides a few family members. Most of them are gone now.

Our prayers are with you at this time. Hold on to your memories and share them with your children and grandchildren.

Sincerely, Pat and Jerry Parker (Cleveland, Ohio)

Your Mom and mine were good friends and neighbors; we grew up in the "village" they all speak about now and your Mom was a strong part of that village that raised me from a boy to a man; I remember I had gotten into a fight in front of my house while my parents were not home; now, I hadn't had many fights, and none that I'd won, so this one was special; I had finally got on top of this other boy and was just about to beat the...and here comes Ms. Levy, she snatched me off him and at the same time gave me some licks with her hand, as she said in her sharp tone, "wait til I tell Rubye, you better get yourself in that house...so I was steaming when my parents got home; how dare this neighbor from across the street whip me; I call myself telling soon as my folks came through the door...guess you know I got two more whippings that night, from Mama and Daddy; back then the whole community raised children, thanks for your Mom being there to keep us in check, love you all, Bruce and the Griggs family share your loss.

To Jennifer and John: It's been awhile. I am sorry for your loss. Mrs. Levy was a gracious and kind lady. I soooo LOVED my time with her, when I lived in VA. I had not seen Mrs. Levy much since I moved to Orlando in 2001. Alas, I will always cherish my times in 3rd Baptist with her and at our various outings - pictures we took and laughs we shared! Godspeed on her final journey. . . and continued success to you all. CoCo Hutchison and family.....
