FAIRFAX - Ann Ranson Pulley, 72, joined her family in Heaven for Christmas on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012. She passed away in her home. She was born in Kentucky, and was a lifelong resident of Newport News. Ann's life was devoted to teaching and impacting her students with the love of the Lord. She taught Spanish at Menchville High School, and retired from Denbigh Baptist School. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Elise Pulley; and her parents, Everett and Gerry Ranson. Survivors include her daughter, Lisette Pulley Monroe and husband Jeff of Vancouver, Washington; and two grandchildren, Lauren and Rachel Monroe. The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, with a funeral to follow at 6:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held in Dillwyn Town Cemetery in Dillwyn, Va. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
