Ann Parker Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Ann Wright Parker peacefully entered into rest on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, in Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. Her life's journey began on June 16, 1943, the daughter of Estelle Roane and the late John Wright.
She was a member of St. John Baptist Church (Penniman Road), where she served her church as a member of the Senior Choir. She was formerly employed by Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her blessed memories her husband, Howard Parker; her mother, Estelle Roane; her daughters, Debbie T. Hewett (Wayne) and Patricia Booker (Jesse); her sons, Kevin Parker (Helga), DeWayne Parker (Michele), Howard Parker Jr., and Lonnie Moore (Gloria); her sisters, Jean Dowdy and Brenda LeBlanc; her brothers, Delaney Wright (Patricia) and Roderick Roane; her 12 grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A funeral service, celebrating the life she lived, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at St. John Baptist Church, with the Rev. Walter Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 1095 Stewart Drive by noon on Tuesday. Mrs. Parker may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
