Anna Johnson Obituary
A native of Tarboro, N.C., she was a faithful member of Galilee Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star Faith Chapter No. 2, O.E. S.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children, Myrtle Johnson-Scott and son, Darryl E. Johnson both of Newport News; grandchildren, Bryan K. Scott and Omeka N. King; and a host of relatives and friends.
A wake will be held Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th St., Newport News, VA 23607. A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at First United Baptist Church, 6400 Roanoke Avenue, Newport News, Va., followed by internment at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, Va. It is with my deepest sympathy, that I render my prayers for the family of Ms. Johnson. I know that God is always in control, but we as humans have it hard trying to cope with the loss. I want the family to know that everbody has a story, but there's only one truth. God is the answer, just keep the faith. To Myrtle, continue to be that strong influence and in the end you will receive your reward. Remember, "He's there all the time" just lean and depend on him.
