Annie PEARSON-JOHNSTON Obituary

WATERTOWN, N.Y. - Annie Pearson-Johnston (know to many as Anna Pearson), 70, passed away at her husband's side after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at 4:30 P.M. at the Samaritan Keep nursing home in Watertown, N.Y.
She was born on Sept 14, 1939, in Amsterdam, Holland, a daughter of Pieter and Dora Hessels.
She moved to the United States in 1963 living in Newport News, Va., until December 1996. She wed Robert Johnston and moved to Norfolk, N.Y., in June 1997.
She raised her family in Newport News, Va., and had many dear friends. She loved having coffee and meeting her pals at Dunkin Donuts. She was one for great conversation, an avid reader, enjoyed world politics, having a good laugh, and watching her children and the neighborhood friend's play outside.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert C. Johnston; her daughter, Monique Aronsohn and her husband, Paul; two sons, Dan and Bob Pearson; her brother, Peter Hessels; grandchildren, Amber, Samuel and Eddie; two daughters- in-law, Stacy Pearson and Maria Pearson. She is also survived by her beloved stepchildren/grandchildren, Robin, Marty, Eddie, Christopher, Michelle, Maddie and Rylee, Liam and Benoit.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be missed dearly.

Anna,was a dear ,dear, friend to so many people , she and her family were like family to me, and my family. her children grew up with my children and had some great times together, she will be greatly missed she was a great person, and a great mother and a great friend ANNA WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!!!!! YOU WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR HEARTS. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
