Arthur KELLER Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Arthur John Keller died Nov. 19, 2010, at MCV Hospital in Richmond of infections following surgery.
Art Keller was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y. He attended Amherst Central High School and the University of Buffalo and belonged to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964, stationed in Japan, Texas and Mississippi. Mr. Keller moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1966 to begin his career in Information Technology with Sylvania in Mountain View. He later ran computer operations for Raychem and Levi Strauss, completing his career with 20 years at Syntex Pharmaceutical.
Art married Elizabeth Breedlove in 1983 at Christ Church Episcopal in Portola Valley. They continued to work in Silicon Valley until they retired to Ford's Colony in Williamsburg in 2004. They enjoyed morning walks in Ford's Colony and Colonial Williamsburg and Art played golf at the Golden Horseshoe. They are members of St. Martin's Episcopal Church and have been active with Colonial Williamsburg and The Heritage Foundation. Art and Elizabeth ran an Executive Forums franchise in Hampton Roads from 2007 to 2010.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Myrtle Keller of Rio Rancho, N.M. Mr. Keller is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth; his sister, Elsie Keller, of Albuquerque; his son, Jeffrey Keller, of Elkins, W.Va.; and his daughter, Deborah Patterson, of Leesburg, Va.
