Arthur JAMES Obituary
He will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church, 7707 Allentown Road, Fort Washington, MD 20744 and at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, in Virginia at First Baptist Church East End, 3000 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607.
A devoted family man, Arthur is survived by his wife of 17 years, Marva James; three siblings, Eunice Peele, Thomas and Rondall James; four children, Arthur and Amber James, Dominique Crawford and Danielle Thomas; two stepsons, Kevin Brown (Alexis) and Tyrone Brown; three grandchildren, Kala and Kevin Brown and Nia Boone; one godchild, Paris Macklin; many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and an abundance of cherished friends.

Mava. Although I did not know you as well, Artmo was one of my closest friends. I will surely miss every time I saw him, him saying "Whats up homie". I never saw him without a smile or him being upbeat. I will truly miss my friend. May you and yours be blessed and I promise that his many friends will never forget him.

My deepest condolences. My mom is Helen Margaret Johnson-Massie. I am also Herb Massie Jr's youngest sister. So I am a cousin too. I'm sure my mom would call or write something if she could. Marva, you have my deepest sympathy. Sorry to learn of your husband, but also I rejoice with you as well. I am Herb's sister "Rosie" your cousin, from Pittsburgh. Mo was such a joyful person in life, and had the biggest smile you would ever want to see. He will be missed but never forgotten. His final words to RJ was "Keep Hope Alive". So keeping hoping and keep the faith. We shall all see him again. Love to all of you.

Art chose me as a freind a number of years ago. i have been stretched by our relatiionsip because he always stayed on my case, keeping me in check.
