She is survived by a son, William T. Ryans Jr.
A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, in the Chapel of Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview Ave., Norfolk. TO THE RYANS FAMILY:
I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING AUSTRALIA THROUGH MY SISTER RUBY HAYGOOD TWO YEARS AGO. SHE WAS ONE OF THE SWEETEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. I VISITED WITH HER WHEN WHE CAME TO NEWARK THIS SUMMER. I'M SURE SHE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED. YOU HAVE MY HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES.
