Barbara AUMAN Obituary

JASPER, FLA. - Barbara "Babs" Auman, 75, of Jasper, Fla., passed away early Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center.
Babs was born on Dec. 27, 1934, to Lawrence and Elizabeth Avriett Burnham. She graduated in 1952 from Jasper High School and went on to attend college at Florida State. Following her days at Florida State she worked for a time as an airline stewardess before going on to work as a laboratory technician with the Federal Civil Service. She was a former resident of Yorktown, Va., and Suwannee, Fla. (Dixie County), before returning to Hamilton County. Mrs. Auman was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, William Boyer Auman, Jasper, Fla.; three sons, William Burnham Auman, Newport News, Va., Clayton Bond Auman, Dartmouth, Mass., and Bruce Wyles Auman, U.S. Mariner; her mother, Elizabeth Avriett Barrett, Jasper, Fla.; one brother, Lawrence "Larry" Burnham, Lake City, Fla.; three sisters, Peggy Conners, Sanderson, Fla., Kitty Morgan, Jasper, Fla.; and Elaine Floyd, Bluffington, S.C.; five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, Oct. 8, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
