I am so sorry to hear about Barbara's passing. I went to school with her for 12 years and we shared the same birthday. I think of her often especially on our birthday and always say a birthday prayer for her. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this saddened time.

To the entire Flynn & Hamel Family,
I had the pleasure of attending St. Vincent Central High School with both your mother and father. I'm saddened to hear of your recent loss. Although I haven't seen your mother in many years, I will always remember her with fond memories and those "crazy" double dates we had. Like you, I will forever see her smile and I hope that will sustain you for many years.
My thought and prayers are will you all.

Dear Flynn Family,
I was saddened to learn of your mother's passing. I knew Barbara for 12 years starting with the first grade at St. Vincent de Paul. Barbara was a kind and generous classmate and friend. It is not a surprise to learn that she lived her life with that same spirit. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Bob (Tyler) Gatewood.

I had the pleasure of spending all four of my high school years with Barbara at St. Vincent’s. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. It is impossible to think of that period of my life without remembering her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. She was truly a gift.
Sincerest condolences,

To the Flynn Family,
My deepest sympathy on your loss. Your mother was a wonderful person and it showed through in the love she had for her students. My two children each had her at Rawls Byrd and were treated with respect and taught that learning can be fun. This is a woman whose impact will be missed!

Mrs. Flynn was THE best! Not only was she my fifth grade teacher, she was MUCH more than that to my family and I. When my mom's mom passed, she welcomed my sister Suzanne and I into her home with open arms! Staying with her was always a blast because she was quick to tell a joke, and her laugh... her laugh was amazing and contagious. Later, after high school graduation, my mom and Randy moved to Ohio and I was your typical 18 year old transitioning from high school to college... again she welcomed me with open arms to stay with her and her girls the entire summer. She will always hold a very special place in my heart and I'm grateful for her impact in my life. I'm devestated to hear of this great loss. All my prayers and love to Amy and Jenn, I am so sorry.

My condolences to Barbara's loved ones. We were St. Vincent's classmates for two years and on the girl's basketball team--Barb seemed to love playing as we all did. Such great memories of those days. Will hold Barb and her loved ones in my prayers.

I knew Barbara from our freshman year to graduation at St. Vincent Central High. She was one of the sweetest young ladies ever to grace the school. I'm sure it carried over to her adult family life. She and the Flynn family are in my daily prayers. May the peace of the risen Lord be with you always.

I had the pleasure of spending my senior year (1963-64) with Barbara at St. Vincent Central High School. She was very easy to get along with and one who was always very pleasant to me. Not only was she intelligent and beautiful, but she also had a great sense of humor. It is sad to lose her, but at least we know that she is now in a much better place. I extend my sincere condolences to her family. Ernie Ramos
