NEWPORT NEWS - Beatrice Mosley, affectionately known as "Ms Cooper," 83, went from labor to reward on June 19, 2012.
She was born May 2, 1929, in Louisburg, N.C., to John and Majorie Perry. She relocated to Newport News, Va., in 1953, where she was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Lee Mosley; son, Fredrick Cooper; and her daughter, Rose Marie McLean.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Sarah Kuerbitz (Phillip), Johnny Cooper, Beatrice Brown, Viola Cooper, Jeremiah Cooper, Brenda Gilliam (Milo), Albert Mosley, Christina Boyd, Andrew Cooper, and Robert Mosley (Keflin); 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and extend our appreciation for your calls, visits, cards, love, and prayer expressed to us during our time of bereavement. We thank you and may God blessings be with you.
The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at 131 Beechwood Ave., Newport News, VA 23607. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va.
