Bertha SEAY Obituary

YORKTOWN - Bertha "Bea" Marie Seay, age 74, a native of Washington County, N.C., passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010, at her home in Yorktown with her family by her side.
Bea was a Transportation Coordinator for the Peninsula Catholic School and later a Paper Carrier for the Daily Press. She loved and was loved by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard O. Seay.
Bea leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Richard O. Seay II and his wife, Donna; two daughters, Joyce Blymyer and her husband, Robert, and Cheryl Moore and her husband, Donald; six grandchildren, Nicole Seay, Justin and Travis Blymyer, Marie, Melissa and Christopher Moore; one great-granddaughter, Jordan Poole; sister, Dorothy Pemberton (with whom Bea resided); brother, Ronald Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Bea will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Friends are encouraged to visit www.parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Bea's life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Blvd., Ste. 102-A, Newport News, VA 23606 and/or the Yorkminster Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 6218 George Washington Memorial Hwy., Yorktown, VA 23692.

Bea was a wonderful neighbor when we lived in her neighborhood. She was always kind, generous and funny. We were sorry to see she had passed. I'm sure she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bea will be missed. I became friends with her in 1987 when I started delivering newspapers. She was a very kind person.We had a lot of good times. Telling jokes, stories and just talking about family.thanks for all the great times.

Joyce, Cheryl, Rick:Your mom is my favorite red-headed aunt! Your mom is like a second mother to me. She holds a special place in my heart for now and always.I have the most wonderful memories growing up with all of you and Aunt Bea and Uncle Richard.
