Bertha RENAUD Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Bertha "Pat" Renaud, 75, a longtime resident of the Newport News area, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Riverside Hospital.
Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her very memorable life.
Born in 1934 in Mt. Clemens, Mich., Bertha was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Lady of the Elks, and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic church. Mrs. Renaud worked many years as a newspaper deliverer with the Daily Press and did a lot of volunteer work as she always enjoyed giving to anyone that was in need.
She especially loved her family, pets and playing Bingo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Renaud and is survived by her daughters, Gayle Kreinbring of Michigan, Yvonne Dixon of Williamsburg, Yvette Staton of North Carolina; her son, Donald Renaud of Newport News; and grandson, Joseph Martin of Newport News who resided with her. She is also survived by many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren that brought great joy to her life.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with a funeral mass at 7 p.m. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Veterans Memorial Gardens. Please meet at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church by 10:15 a.m. for the procession to the cemetery.
