Birdie WILSON Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Birdie 'Dooley' Wilson Jr., 91, went to his eternal rest on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Coliseum Park Nursing Home in Hampton, Va.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Charlie Mae Wilson; one daughter, Min. Betty Copling (Lee); six sons, Douglas Armistead (Jeanette), Kenneth Corbin, George Corbin (Alicia), Thomas Corbin Sr. (Tresa) of Maryland, Willie Corbin, and Robert Corbin Sr. (Gwen); one sister, Mabelle Richardson of Tennessee; one brother, Fred L. Hopson of Maryland; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Canaan Baptist Church, 1100 W. Queen Street, Hampton. Family and friends are asked to meet by 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, at 700 Downing Street, Hampton. The Wilson Family is receiving services of comfort by Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home, 4304 Victoria Blvd., Hampton. (757) 728-0122.
