Braddock VALENTINE Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Braddock H. Valentine, 68, went to be with his maker on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010.
He was born in Newark, N.J., and raised in South Seaside Park. Braddock served in the Coast Guard and worked under Union 147, as an operating engineer. He was a fisherman, a private pilot and was a member of A.O.P.A.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brad and Goldie Valentine; two brothers; two sisters; and daughter, Noelle Valentine.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marietta Valentine; his children, Brad Valentine, Terri Baker, Kelli Cosgrove, Christine Butler, and Denielle Carie; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vicki and Garry Print; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Weston officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Blvd., Suite A102, Newport News, VA 23606.

Bud would do anything for anyone and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Marietta, Kelli, and the rest of the family. He will be missed.
