Bryant was definitely the spirit of the Class of 1992. Always a huge smile and a laugh that was unmistakable. Our class, indeed...the whole community, has lost a terrific person. Thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Pretlow family and all who were blessed to have known him.

Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Losing a loved one is the hardest thing that one must endure but we should remember the good times that were shared with Bryant. This is a celebration for GOD had a plan for an Angel and he called Bryant home to be one of his servants. He is in a better place right now, just rejoice and know that he is okay. He will truly be missed!!! My thoughts and prayers are with the Pretlow family.

To the Pretlow Family:
I met Bryant when he was a student at Alcorn State, I can truly say we had a great friendship because he would always tell me "Ms. Shields, I can always come and talk to you because you always treat us (meaning he and his friends) like you love us and we belong to you. I indeed feel like Bryant was an adopted son. I reconnected with Bryant thru my daughter "Shonda".My heart goes out to the family. His memories are precious. Death leaves a heartache No one can heal; Love leaves a memory No one can steal; Words, however kind, can't mend your heartache:, but those who care and, share your loss wish you,
comfort and peace of mind., May you find strength, in the love of family,
and in the warm embrace, of friends.
God looked around his garden And He found an empty place. And then He looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered"Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you . But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. May you rest in peace.
We love you---The Shields Family

To the Pretlow Family,
Words cannot express how sad I know you all feel from the loss of Bryant. I had the pleasure of knowing him while we served in the Army in Heidelberg Germany. He was always a stand up guy and had the purest heart I had seen in an individual. I was introduced to him by my brother that he lived upstairs from. We had some very memorable times over there that will never be forgotten. His loss was very sudden to me and he will always be remembered by those individuals that he came to touch. I pray for strength for the family during this hard time.

God always has a plan. I know there was a reason you and I carpooled to work everyday. We built a strong friendship that became an extended brother. I will always remember and cherish "my dawg" and I will see you again.
