C. Weber Obituary
She was a native of New Jersey and had been a resident of Newport News since 1992.
Mrs. Weber was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church for 17 years. She always enjoyed being with, talking to and listening to people.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard Weber; and a daughter, Nancy.
Survivors include one son, Richard Weber and his wife, Ann of Newport News; several relatives throughout Virginia and New Jersey; and a special friend and aid, Cheryl Jackson.
The family will receive friends at Peninsula Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at noon with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 116 Denbigh Blvd, Newport News, VA 23608.

Dear Rick & Ann...David and I were deeply saddened to hear of your mother's passing. In fact, we were told this morning while at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montoursville, PA, by another of Rita's friends who goes to that parish...a church that your mother loved and served with all her heart. In years' past, my family shared many a Christmas Eve at our home with your Mom and Dad. Those times are fondly remembered and will be cherished even moreso this year. Dear Weber Family.
I was so sad to hear of Miss Rita's death. She was one of my parents closest friends, and she was like a grandmother to me. I will always remember her soft smile and huge personality. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
