Callie BETHEA Obituary

HAMPTON - Callie J. Bethea's earthly journey ended on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Sentara Careplex Hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Dillon, S.C., to the late Rufus and Ellen Pickett.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Fladger; brothers, John, Leroy and James Pickett; nephews, Curtis (Butch) Fladger and Kenneth Pickett.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a niece, Gail Fladger with whom she resided; and a nephew, Britton Fladger whom she raised; and a host of family and friends.
A viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, and two hours prior to the funeral. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Cooke Brothers Funeral Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to www.cookebros.com.
