Carroll Hogge Obituary
Cecil attended Achilles School and served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked at the Newport News Shipyard and was a waterman. He enjoyed gardening and playing "spades." His greatest pride and love was for his family, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.
His mother, Maria Hogge, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Betty A. Hogge; two daughters, Cecilia Marshall and husband, DW, Brenda Deal and husband, Michael; one son, Charles Hogge; three grandchildren, Courtney Jarvis, Webster Marshall and Shaun Deal; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Emilee and Emmalyne; and his canine, Sam.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Fred Reed, will be held at noon Thursday, at Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.

Carroll and I worked on the water together many years ago,we were haul seining for Thomas Green. He was easy to get along with we shared many laughs together, May God bless the family in the days ahead.
