Carter PERRY Obituary

LANEXA - Carter R. Perry, 83, of Lanexa, Va., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010.
A retired director of health in New York, Carter returned to his birthplace, Virginia, where his passion for education, politics and community service flourished.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Helen C. Perry.
Survivors include one daughter, two sons, one son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at the church, Ebenezer Baptist Church, 14410 Rockahock Road. Lanexa, VA 23089.
Funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan.16, 2010, at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Earth hath no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Mr. Perry was a very special person and a great man of integrity. My most heart fealt sympathy goes out to the Family during this time of saddness. I encourage you to keep your faith in God and allow him to heal your hearts. Always remember that we do not mourn as those who have no hope! You have the grace of God around you and community that loves you and is here for you! Be continually blessed!

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING MR.PERRY UNDER DIFFERENT REASONS, HE TAUGHT ME ALOT DURING OUR 10 WEEKS OF CLASS. HE TOLD US ABOUT HIS LIFE AND SO ON. HE WAS NOT ONE TO PASS JUDGEMENT ON ANYONE. SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY.
