Catherine SUDDRETH Obituary

HAMPTON - Catherine 'Kay' Suddreth, age 88, peacefully ended life's journey on April 17, 2010.
Prior to her passing, Kay was a full time resident at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Hampton, where she was blessed to have caring staff members as helping hands when she needed them each day.
Kay was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonny Suddreth and survived by two sons, Jay Suddreth of Hampton, Va., and Donald Suddreth of Zebulon, N.C.; as well as two granddaughters, Mia and Terry; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. However, Kay is now truly "in God's Hands" as she often expressed as the comfort that guided her through life.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m., at Parklawn Memorial Park.
Friends are encouraged to visit www.parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., in Hampton, 23666. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Hello Suddreth family. I am so sorry to read about the passing of your Mother. I too lost my Mother and my Father. My Father in 1985 and my Mother in 2000. I know she is in a better place. May the happy memories you had with her get you through this sad time. My name is Lottie Onks I went to school with each of you. I think at Buckroe Junior High and Kecoughtan High School's. My other (2) sister's are Creola and Charlotte. I didn't know that Bonnie died also! What did she die of? Well, just wanted to let you know that I was sorry and that I also remember each of you. God Bless you all.
